Nicola Trup named best deputy editor of the year at the BSME Talent Awards 2024
Nicola Trup, deputy editor of Food by National Geographic Traveller (UK), was named best deputy editor of the year at this year’s British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) Talent Awards.
“I’m so pleased. The BSME Talent Awards are always hugely competitive and I was up against some brilliant editors from across the UK’s magazine industry. It’s a real privilege to be recognised for my work behind the scenes, and the award is a testament to the whole Food team, as well as to the lovely magazine we produce,” said Nicola.
The judges said Nicola was, “Motivated, commercially driven and consistently driving editorial excellence across the title. Nicola is an excellent all-rounder who’s been instrumental in the overall success of the brand.”
Food by National Geographic Traveller (UK) has carved a niche as a food and travel magazine with a difference. Launched in 2018, the quarterly title celebrates gastronomy from across the world with a focus on culinary trends, provenance and producers.
鶹Ӱ’s editorial team received nominations in categories including best art team, best designer, best picture team, best newsletter, best campaign, and best specialist writer of the year.
